The Whiskey Off Road weekend has come and gone and the first race of the season is behind me.  It’s always a great way to start the season!

My 2016 Season kicked off Friday night w/ the Whiskey 50 Fat Tire Crit in downtown Prescott, AZ

From the gun I was feeling good and in the mix! Loving the sound of the knobbies humming!

The last lap racing was intense and the crowds were loving it!

I was pumped to land on the podium!

On Saturday I spent the day heckling old friends and doing some sticky bottle handups!

Two old school friend about to take to the line! Garett going for the win and Skyler doing his first race in 12 or 13 years!

Saturday night was spent hanging w/ Trav, Chloe, and Rose and eating some good food that Andrea cooked up!

On Sunday morning I was a little slow to get going, but found my rhythm on the Jack Pine Rd climb.

3 hours into the race and I had battled back from 25th position and into the top 10 thru the Creekside Trail river crossing.  The new Top Fuel was killing the descents.

It’s always fun to finish in front of a big crowd!

Crossing the line with a few bike lengths to spare in a 4 up sprint on Whiskey Row!

I finished 7th and then we capped off the weekend by celebrating Rose‘s big win with an awesome dinner at The Barley Hound!

I had so much fun in Prescott I decided to stay for an extra 2.5 weeks to prepare for the Grand Junction Off-Road. Riding w/ old high school buddies was just one of the reasons to stay!

Epic Rides sure does put on a great show! I’m really pumped that so many of my sponsors were there to make it even better! Big Thanks to Pro Gold Lubricants, Clif Bar, Camelbak, Shimano, and JTree for making it a great weekend and to Trav, Chloe, and Maja for sharing their house. See you in Grand Junction!
